Most technical leaders are handed a team, a roadmap and a quarter, and are then left to work out leadership on their own, in public, while the results are being counted.
The days fill with escalations, one-to-ones and decisions you are not sure you are qualified to make. You are the last one on the call and the first one back in the morning. The work you used to be great at, the code, the architecture, the deep problem, has quietly disappeared from your calendar.
So the doubt starts. Am I actually good at this? Why does giving hard feedback make my chest tighten? Why do I replay that meeting at 1am? You cannot say any of this out loud to your manager, because you are supposed to have it handled, and you cannot say it to your team, because they are looking to you to be steady.
That is a lonely, exhausting place to lead from. And it does not resolve on its own. It compounds, in the form of avoided conversations, delayed decisions, a team that slowly stops bringing you the truth, and a version of you that is burning out while looking fine on the outside.
You do not need more technical skill. You need a place to think, and someone in the room who has led at this altitude.
That is what 1:1 coaching with me is. A structured, fully confidential thinking partnership with an ICF PCC coach who spent twenty years leading engineering organisations of 150 to 200 people. I know the escalation, the roadmap pressure and the reorg from the inside, and I will not hand you generic leadership advice. Two ways to work together, both starting with a conversation.
The core engagement. Twelve fortnightly sessions, a shared thinking space, and the room to work on what matters as it emerges. For leaders who want depth, not a quick fix.
A short, targeted engagement built around one specific decision, transition or conversation. Two to four sessions to get clarity and move.
Every session starts from what actually matters to you this week, not from a curriculum.
EQ, mental fitness and systems frameworks give us shared language and stop us drifting into vague advice.
WhatsApp or email between sessions, whichever is easier in the moment. Coaching doesn't stop when the hour ends.
What we discuss stays with us. Nothing goes to your employer, sponsor, or platform.
Engineering managers, directors, VPs, and senior individual contributors, usually mid-career, often navigating a step up or a real inflection point.
Pricing depends on the engagement. I share a full breakdown after our chemistry conversation, so it can be tied to what you're actually trying to do.
You have a real question you want to work on, and the willingness to be honest with yourself in the room. That's it.
Yes. Sponsors get high-level goal and progress framing only, agreed with you first. Session content stays between us.
Both. I'm based in Bangalore and coach many clients globally over video.
If you are struggling with the weight of leading a technical team, then starting 1:1 coaching with me is the right decision. It begins with a 30-minute chemistry conversation. No cost, no obligation, and you will leave knowing either way.
Six months from now, you can be the leader people are quietly relieved to work for: clear in the hard conversations, steady when the roadmap slips, still doing work you find interesting, and home for dinner. That is the point of all of this.
